Sexual assaults are a huge problem in prison. The chances of a male being raped in prison are 3 to 1 compared to a woman's chances in the free world. What causes these prison attacks and how can it be prevented? It's a question that still lingers as the folklore continues to spread in the minds of our youth.
Teenagers, who naturally feel invincible, continue to live a life of crime. They believe the chances of the law catching up with them are slim to none. If they are caught, many feel an escape from adult institutions is possible because of the age factor. That's not necessarily true because the justice system continues to change and an alarming amount of children are being prosecuted as adults for their crimes.
